Peripheral neuropathy where megadosages of vitamin C have been supplemented

Updated: Apr 1

Treatment of peripheral neuropathy where megadosages of vitamin C have been taken would call for supplementing orotate from calcium orotate, magnesium orotate, inositol. N-acetylglucosamine and folic acid. See this post.

Megadosages of vitamin C can result in peripheral neuropathy through decreases in synthesis of uridine monophosphate which lead to decreases in synthesis of RNA and DNA which leads to peripheral neuropathy. A megadosage of vitamin C is 1000 or more milligrams of vitamin C supplemented daily.

Peripheral neuropathy would frequently go along with back pain and/or neck pain. See this post.

Peripheral neuropathy can also result from deficiencies of acetylcholine. Increasing acetylcholine levels is a treatment for peripheral neuropathy. See this post.
