Henrik Ibsen, carbonated drinks and sodas

Henrik Ibsen did not plumb depths of characters of females. Henrik Ibsen rather portrayed characters of females at a time females were starting to unravel from sodas.

Female characters in plays of Henrik Ibsen are not like females prior to mass marketing of sodas. Marketing of sodas goes in to hyperdrive around 1870. Henrik Ibsen caught the initial wave of a near apocalypse due to sodas and/or carbonated drinks.

Plays of Henrik Ibsen have less than zip to say that is universal about females and do not even have anything to say that is even mildly trenchant. Characters who are female of Henrik Ibsen act nonsensically. Hedda Gabler  for example destroys a manuscript on less than zip grounds as Eilert Lövborg is not competing for a professorship.

Nora Helmer in A Dolls House was doing sex work part time and had cash dollars that had to be laundered. Part time sex work is the only work Nora Helmer could have done esoterically and earned sufficient cash dollars to spend lavishly on Christmas presents and pay for a trip to Italy. Presents are received by courtesans but Nora Helmer received cash dollars for esoterically doing part time sex work.

Nora Helmer leaves a husband who forgave Nora for doing sex work where Nora leaves the residence to do sex work full time. Righteous indignation of Nora He[mer at finish of A Dolls House is nonsensical.

In Rosmersholm Rebecca West drives the wife of Johannes Rosmer to suicide, drives Johannes Rosmer to suicide and commits suicide. Rebecca West clearly did not love Johannes Rosmer. Subsequent to committing suicide Johannes Rosmer can not work on a reformist political program which is what Rebecca West wanted.
