In 2023 according to DoD the number of young citizens who are unfit for military service is 77% which is a 6% increase from 71% in 2017 which is already a quite large percentage. The number of food and/or drink items that contain natural flavors which are strong antioxidants has been increasing with each passing year since around 1960. Dietary antioxidants can result in lots of difficulties for example diets that contain antioxidants can result in individuals developing mental illnesses.
See this post in regards to what dietary antioxidants do. Also see this post in regards to what difficulties can arise from diets that contain antioxidants other than around RDA dosages of vitamin C and vitamin E.
Individuals who are drinking acidic drinks for example sodas could be frail even as young citizens due do decreases in synthesis of RNA and decreases in synthesis of DNA due to dysregulation of carbamoyl phosphate synthetase II. See this post.
Due to diets young citizens are now all too frequently mentally ill and/or frail. In regards to military service disallowing soft drinks in facilities, on bases, in airplanes, and/or in submarines of the Department of Defense would be a huge initial step in the correct direction.
